If you’ve already downloaded and completed your admitting paperwork prior to your appointment, great! If not, we will have you complete your health history paperwork and gather any insurance information so we can verify your coverage.

Consultation & Examination

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, Woodbury | Waterbury area chiropractor, Dr. Levy will perform a thorough examination which will help identify the cause of your problem. Diagnostic testing if necessary, (ie. X-Rays, MRI's CT scans) will be ordered at that time, or if you've had recent testing we will send for those records from your Doctor or hospital. The results of the examination, X-rays, and any additional testing will be explained to you during your second visit.

If you are in acute pain, some physical therapy modalities might be administered, such as ultrasound, muscle stimulation or acupuncture while we await the results of those tests. We only accept patients whom we feel will benefit from conservative care. If yours is not a chiropractic case, you will be referred to the appropriate physician.

Dr. Steve Asks some important questions of interest to Waterbury residents - Chiropractor Waterbury Dr. Steve Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
